Frequently asked questions
A few of the questions we hear most. If yours isn't here, reach out — we're glad to help.
What is telepsychiatry, and how does it work?
Telepsychiatry is psychiatric care delivered by secure video visit. You meet your clinician from wherever you feel most comfortable — no waiting room required. You'll need a private space and a device with a camera and internet connection.
Do you see patients in person?
Yes. We offer both secure virtual visits and in-person care at our office at 1840 W 49th St, Hialeah, FL 33012.
Who do you treat?
We provide psychiatric care for adults and adolescents. Care for younger patients is arranged with a parent or guardian involved.
What insurance do you accept?
We accept Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Ascension Health, UnitedHealthcare, Optum Rx, alongside straightforward self-pay options. If you're unsure whether your plan is covered, reach out and we'll help verify your benefits.
How do I book an appointment?
Use the contact form on our homepage to tell us a little about you, and we'll follow up to schedule your first visit. We typically respond within one business day.
What happens at the first appointment?
Your first visit is a comprehensive evaluation. We take time to understand your history, goals, and what's bringing you in, then build a treatment plan together — which may include medication, therapy, or both.
Can you prescribe and manage medication?
Yes. Medication management is a core part of our care — thoughtful prescribing that's monitored closely and adjusted with you over time.
What should I do in a mental health emergency?
If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or dial 911. Our website and contact form are not monitored for emergencies.
